The scheme includes 291 apartments (including market sector, affordable and social rented), incubator office units, commercial and retail units at ground level, basement parking and CHP plant and proposals for a new public plaza and park.

Features

Rooftop units enjoy generous terraces and panoramic views over London. Family-oriented social and affordable units, two childrens’ play areas a rooftop garden and an adjoining park provide amenity.

A stone-clad frame, extensive glazing and a distinctive roof profile contribute to a contemporary architectural language that respects the local texture.

The development is designed to HCA Code 4 energy rating and the commercial elements to BREEAM ‘Very Good’ level, with a CHP and extensive use of photo voltaic panels at roof level.

A mix of living, work and retail uses fosters an active ‘18-hour day’ of activity in the proposed transforation of the adjoining park into a new public realm for Aldgate. A ground-level arcade provides for outdoor eating.
