Glanbia Head Office, Dublin

The project at Glanbia Head Office was to provide a renewed fitout to the existing Glanbia Headquarters in Kilkenny. The team worked within the existing building envelope and developed a renewed client experience including works to the reception area, boardroom and meeting rooms. Work was also undertaken to improve the staff facilities and the office accommodation was redeveloped to cater for the 250 staff over two floors and included additional features including breakout areas, tea stations, several multifunction spaces and a vastly improved canteen facility.

The brief was to provide bright, dynamic office accommodation within an existing building. The theme of the project was ‘clean earth’. This led the design team to develop a palette of materials that came with the inherent Wellness properties of locality and nature. The client commissioned a number of bespoke joinery elements which further enhanced the tactility and earthy nature of the scheme.

The existing scheme was very out of date and needed to be improved to help the client with staff satisfaction and modern methods of working and this resulted in a significant shift to open plan layouts and breakout spaces are introduced from what was a traditional cellular office layout. The integration of new technology is key to an enhanced sustainability performance.
