Clonakilty Primary Care Centre

Reddy Architecture + Urbanism collaborated with Geraldine Coughlan Architects (GCA) on this project for a new primary care centre in Clonakilty. The completed building comprises GP units, Dental surgeries, Physiotherapy rooms and Occupational Therapy areas, along with support accommodation. Three retail units are also included.

Our two practices worked very effectively together on this project using BIM 360 Design to share Revit models online and to deliver an efficient service to the Design & Build contractors, Clancy Construction.

Proactive engagement with the local authority planning department was also a key aspect of this project. As a visually prominent development on the waterfront, near the point of arrival in the town, there was concern to ensure high quality in design and construction. We worked very closely with the local planning officers through the course of the project to ensure that this was achieved.
