Harper Road, London
Harper Road is a prestigious development of 64 apartments on a site in Southwark. The three blocks are over double level basement and vary in height of 5 to 7 levels. The scheme is a complex compilation of differing facade typologies relating to the different urban blocks and aesthetics of the immediate neighbourhood. The site had a number of interesting challenges including the discovery of a road, Roman coins and a very rare Roman sarcophagus, now on display in the Museum of London
From a concept design by Haworth Tomkins, Reddy A+U developed the scheme from RIBA Stage 4 to completion on site in Q2 2019. The team developed the design both technically and delivered the scheme with the project team. The project was a joint venture led by Galliard Homes resulting in a successful project that leads the property market in the area. The project was developed and taken through the post planning process by an experienced team solving a number of the technical complexities of the scheme that came about due to the application of the design standards and aspirations both of the clients and building regulations.
