Kidbrooke Village, London

The redevelopment of the notorious Ferrier Estate in Kidbrooke for Berkeley Homes is one of the most important regeneration projects in London. The overall development by Reddy A+U of 5 key stages combined provides 1.200 apartments and townhouses as part of the wider Kidbrooke Village Phase 3 regeneration. The developments includes ground level retail units, crèche, community centre, facilities for London Borough of Greenwich and parking for cars and cycles. Berkeley’s are undertaking a true regeneration project and the development of the blocks by Reddy A+U forms a fundamental part of the community heart.

The scheme has been based on a consented design by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands. Reddy A+U were tasked with optimising the design and details to achieve additional units within Blocks C, D, and E adding more than 10% across the blocks. These were submitted through the Section 73 process and gained full consent. Reddy A+U is taking the development from RIBA Stage 3+ to Completion on site, including discharge of planning conditions and Building Control approval. We have been involved in the tender and delivery with a programme leading to occupation in 2020.

Block C and D have been completed and following Reddy A+U’s successful involvement we have been commissioned to move forward with Blocks F and G providing a further 512 units within the development. Reddy A+U have also been involved in the ongoing work masterplanning the Phase 6 of the development which will finish the development. This will project will require a further decade of work which Reddy A+U hope to be involved with.
