Kidbrooke Village, London

Reddy A+U have been involved in the redevelopment of the notorious Ferrier Estate in Kidbrooke for Berkeley Homes. The overall development of 3 key stages combined provides 690 apartments and townhouses as part of the wider Kidbrooke Village regeneration zone. The developments includes ground level retail units, crèche, community centre, facilities for London Borough of Greenwich and parking for cars and cycles. Berkeley’s are undertaking a true regeneration project and the development of the blocks by Reddy A+U forms a fundamental part of the community heart.

The scheme has been based on a consented design by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands. Reddy A+U were tasked with optimising the design and details to achieve additional units within Blocks C, D and E adding more than 10% across the blocks. These were submitted through the Section 73 process and gained full consent. Reddy A+U is taking the development from RIBA Stage 3+ to Completion on site, including discharge of planning conditions and Building Control approval. We have been involved in the tender and delivery with a programme leading to occupation in 2020.

Block C and D are on site and will provide almost 500 units in 6 towers which range up to 17 storeys in height. Reddy A+U are developing the design within Revit with the capability of delivering BIM Level 2. The development will achieve HCA Code 4 energy rating and the commercial elements BREEAM ‘Excellent’.
