Kyrie Therapeutic Farm
Located in Kildare the healthcare facility will act as a step-down recovery between the psychiatric Hospitals and the community. Ireland has the 4th highest rates of mental illness in Europe (OECD). It will combine a supportive community, therapeutic and holistic care.
The recovery process is closely connected to the working farm which forms an integral part of the therapeutic design philosophy. Several highly sustainable residential, and community buildings are placed carefully around sheltered gardens that will all form part of the daily healing and working experience. The campus is designed around the principles of lived experience in close collaboration with leading mental care experts, in Ireland including Maynooth University.
