Scribblestown Rise, Dublin

Scribblestown Rise, Finglas is one of six sites which forms part of the €120 million project encompassing the financing, design, construction and maintenance of social housing development sites located in and around Dublin – creating over 530 new homes and apartments. This project has 70 apartments consisting of 19 no. 1 bed dwellings, 40 no. 2 bed dwellings and 11 no. 3 bed apartments. The site of 1.05 Ha located in a suburban area between Royal Canal Park and Finglas West.


The layout strategy arranges the scheme in two distinct blocks linked by a landscaped podium, the central orientating space for residents. The western block addresses the street frontage to Ratoath road where the site slopes and the eastern block enjoys views over Royal Canal Park. Car parking is entered at grade to a podium carpark cut in to the sloping site and screened from view. The public open space is positioned the north of the site is designed to be shared with the local community.
