TUSLA Fitout, Dublin

Reddy A+U drove a fast construction programme for the works to TUSLA in the Brunel building. Work commenced in July 2014 and was completed in November 2014. The works to the Brunel Building involved complete strip out and re-fit of six floors of this landmark building in Heuston South Quarter, which was masterplanned by Reddy A+U. The scope included a full M&E upgrade, plus new floors, ceilings, glass partitions, furniture, finishes and fittings.

The interior fitout of the Brunel building illustrates the strength and depth of the Design services and capabilities of the Reddy A+U group. The team designed the masterplan, delivered the building and completed the fitout and the team are justifiably proud of this holistic full design service capability.

The scope of the works associated with the interior fitout of the building included provision of reconfigured office accommodation for up to 250 employees across six floors. Reddy A+U also created the designs and delivery for all the ancillary areas such as meeting rooms, tea stations, canteen, cellular offices and breakout spaces.

As an agency providing child and family support services it was a core part of the brief to understand their work and values. The Reddy A+U Interiors team worked closely with the occupier of the building we gained a strong appreciation for their core values: responsive, inclusive and outward looking. This understanding has been achieved through a series of workshops that have given us an insight of how they would like to see their workplace. We are also well versed when it comes to the agency Guidelines and have worked closely with them to determine the appropriate workstation layouts and workplace ratios.

Adhering to an extremely modest budget, the new space takes its inspiration from the company’s bright branding palette. The general flooring and walls were in neutral subdued hues with the injection of bright colours in the breakout furniture and accent walls. Carpet tile patterns differentiate workspaces from the breakout areas. The extensive external glazing maximizes daylight and views, while a palette of fresh colors punctuate white walls and white workstations. The result is a clean, crisp office that harmonizes modern workplace design with the requirements of this particular agency.
