Nikolai Metherell

Nikolai has a wealth of experience delivering projects across multiple sectors, from inception to completion. At Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands he was responsible for numerous prestigious projects for the award winning practice as an Associate Director where he worked for 14 years.

As Reddy Architecture + Urbanism continues to go from strength to strength, Nikolai joined the London Office as an Associate Director in April 2019 to add knowledge, depth and leadership to our growing team of talented architects and designers. He brings with him experience working on projects ranging in scope from complex regeneration masterplanning – as at Barking Riverside, to multifaceted infrastructure projects – the new tram network in Luxembourg, and urban realm projects – the ‘Station Approach Area’ in the historic city of Winchester. He has also led design on challenging residential and commercial projects in central London.

Over several years the emphasis of Nikolai’s interests and experiences has focused on front-end feasibility and brief development, working with leading developer clients, local authorities and universities to explore strategic design visions. He has a proven track record in delivering successful stakeholder and public consultation engagement strategies, securing planning permissions that realise potential and release value on challenging sites with chequered planning histories.
