Concorde Residential Development, Dublin

The development at Concorde will provide 479 residential build to rent units and associated mixed use spaces. the scheme works to deliver the regeneration of the site to reinvigorate the urban environment with strategic housing available on the burgeoning rental market of Dublin west.

The design seeks to reinstate a strong urban edge to the Naas Road to the north of the site. The rear of the building opens out to the south allowing for an abundance of light in the residents’ private courtyard areas. The strategy from the outset is to respect the adjacent and surrounding buildings while also considering the potential redevelopment goals of the DCC Development Plan and Naas Road Local Area Plan (LAP).

The scheme has been designed to be an exemplar development in compliance with the National design standards for New Apartments (March 2018), the Urban Design Manual, the Urban Development and Building Height Guidelines for Planning Authorities (December 2018), the Dublin City Council Development Plan 2016-22 and the Naas Road LAP. Key to the successful approach is the inclusion of high quality professionally managed accommodation creating a major force in regenerating the Naas Road and the wider area. this is further strengthened by the provision of commercial which will add life and vitality at ground level. New pedestrian and cycle routes between managed public landscaped spaces and the provision of four residential south facing communal courtyard gardens exploits the sites’ orientation for both public and private users.
