The Story
A mixed-use development of 435 apartments in several blocks from 5 to 12 stories, and incorporating a gym, own-door offices, medical centre, juice bar, and café.
The Challenge
To resolve the challenge of an island site, parking and a principal entrance plaza are located at grade, while new pedestrian routes and landscaped gardens at first floor level link the various blocks and offer a sense of place to residents. The entrance plaza is formed by office and amenity spaces, screening the parking and fostering active use.
The Outcome
Building facades are subtly articulated to provide shadow and depth, and finished in a range of warm brick colours to provide visual variety.
