The Challenge

Our client, Bank of Ireland, required a high-tech yet comfortable and biophilic environment which created a soft transition from the home office to corporate office working environment. In order to reduce unnecessary waste and spend, a certain amount of infrastructure from the original space was retained.

The Story

Providing seamless hybrid meeting spaces was an important factor in the redesign of Baggot Plaza. These rooms were designed to facilitate collaboration between those attending meetings both in-person and remotely.

Acoustics were also a key consideration of the design. Choosing wall panelling with acoustic felt and woodwool infills as well as acoustic carpet tiles, textured rugs, upholstery and planting, all succeeded in creating a soft, low reverb space.

The agile working environment was supported with ergonomic furniture that could be adapted to multiple collaboration styles. To achieve this solution, loose furniture items were carefully selected and curated within the space from over 20 different manufacturers or custom built by the Reddy Interiors team. Communication tools such as whiteboards, corkboards, AV and plug-in air play systems were employed to facilitate ease of movement and connection between spaces.

The Outcome

The finished project was a pilot for a re-imagined approach to how BOI work in a post-covid world, creating a space that accommodates hybrid meetings, collaborative AV solutions, hot desk zones and community spaces, as well as bookable meeting rooms supported by informal breakout spaces.
