The Challenge
To design a large-scale data centre campus while mitigating landscape, ecological, and community impacts.
The Story
Reddy A+U secured planning for five ICT buildings and a stand-alone Energy Centre on a 24.16 ha site. The scheme integrated new internal roads and service infrastructure while retaining hedgerows, and green buffers. Ecology mitigation included habitat protection measures such as badger sett integration and included landscaped screening to preserve residential amenity.
The Outcome
Successful planning permission delivered for Phase One, which provides 150 MW of IT load.
