The Story

Eastpoint P2 was the perfect candidate for refurbishment as it already benefited from its strategic location adjacent to the city centre and Docklands area, which is part of Strategic Development Regeneration Areas (SDRAs) under the Dublin City Development Plan.

The Challenge

As much as possible, existing equipment was refurbished and repaired on this project, including the revolving doors, façade, lifts, fire escape staircase finishes, and doors, all carefully restored by skilled tradespeople.

The Outcome

The reimagined building provides a high-quality working environment whilst operating on low utility costs. With energy-efficient mechanical systems, LED lighting, and smart equipment choices, the building achieves a 40% energy cost saving. Once a BER C3-rated building, it is now a BER A3, targeting LEED GOLD.

Testimonial

Reil-Investment had a fantastic experience working with Reddy Architects on our P2 Eastpoint project. During the design process they truly understood the vision we were aiming for and brought it to life in a way that exceeded expectations and has now set this building a new lifespan. The team, led by Lisa, was outstanding—Victor, and Alison all played crucial roles in ensuring a smooth and successful collaboration and syncing the projects vision and quality with the contractor (FKM).

Their approach was highly professional, and they were aligned with our ideas and feedback, making the process seamless but more importantly enjoyable at times, as this can get lost in the building industry. P2 will now set a benchmark for how a full scale retrofit project should be done within the Irish Market.
