The Story
The integration of state of the art technology was a key aspect of this project as well as promoting Google’s commitment to sustainable design. In addition to working towards LEED accreditation, it is the first Google project outside of the US to be part of the Google Green Team Healthy Materials Program.

The Challenge
The refurbishment of the building involved creating reconfigured office spaces to accommodate up to 750 Google employees across six floors. The project also included ancillary areas such as meeting rooms, tea stations, private offices, and breakout spaces. Additionally, the works featured the construction of an expanded canteen and a new 380-seat auditorium at ground level.

The Outcome
Working closely with Google, we have gained a strong appreciation for their dynamic culture. This has been achieved through a series of stakeholder interviews, workshops and ‘Googler’ surveys that have given us a better understanding of how they would like to see their workplace. We are also well versed when it comes to Google guidelines and have worked closely with them to determine the appropriate workstation layouts and workplace ratios.
