The Story
Comprising 107 apartments, the development includes a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom units. Designed for Build-to-Rent (BTR) occupancy, it incorporates a range of resident amenities at ground floor level, introducing activity and passive surveillance to an area of the town centre previously dominated by servicing uses.

The Challenge
Constructed above three levels of existing town centre car parking, the scheme occupies a former gap site along the Sandyford Road street frontage.

The Outcome
Transformation of a constrained and challenging site has been achieved through a building that makes a positive contribution to its urban context while enhancing the overall vibrancy of the town centre.
In addition, The Ironworks achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating, placing it among the top 10% of buildings assessed.
