Kyrie Farm, Kildare

The award-winning scheme sets a new benchmark for later-life care facilities in Ireland, a standard reflected in the recognition and awards it has received from both the Client and the wider industry.

- Location Kildare
- Client Kyrie Farm
- Project Healthcare Facility
- Scale Phase 1: 1,200 m2 | Phase 2: 1,062 m2

The Story
Emphasising the therapeutic value of a homelike environment, the design aims to evoke the comfort and familiarity of home rather than the formality of an institution, using natural colours, abundant daylight, and expansive views of the outdoors.

The Outcome
Natural light plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of senior living spaces. Roof lights and internal glazing between day rooms maximise both daylight and outward views, ensuring that the sitting areas remain bright, welcoming, and uplifting.
