Savills HQ

Reddy A+U have combined the character and period details of the original Georgian building with contemporary office space planning, to provide a bright and lively working environment for Savills’ Irish Headquarters building.

Key facts
  • Location Molesworth Street, Dublin
  • Client Savills
  • Project Workplace Fit-Out
  • Scale 2,000 m²

The Challenge

No. 33 Molesworth Street stood as a partially occupied building that was falling into disrepair. Through sensitive intervention, the building was to be re-purposed into a modern office space for over 200 personnel.

The Story

The project incorporated several key design concepts, including a contemporary office aesthetic characterised by clean, crisp lines, an open desk layout, central filing systems, and interactive informal breakout areas. Additionally, a modern canteen space was created to enhance collaboration and comfort within the workplace.

The Outcome

As part of the project, we restored a number of the original period features and integrated mechanical and electrical services with minimal intervention into the fabric of the protected structure. Light penetration was paramount for bringing life into the previously dark and deep floor plates. This was achieved through the refurbishment of a double height glass-roofed atrium and the introduction of a large barrisol light over the centre of the open plan area, successfully illuminating the space with a natural daylight effect.
