Reddy Architecture + Urbanism have a growing number of offices and each office is made up of a close knit group of people working together to provide our clients with quality design, exemplified by our awards. We mentor our team members and support them through their professional exams and celebrate their achievements. Many of our team stay with us for the long term and we reward this loyalty.

Working nationally and internationally means that we work across offices and this has brought us together. Tony Reddy leads by example working closely with each office and being part of the team. This is recognised and results in a collegiate culture of design. Our design reviews are open and welcoming and this allows all members to be a part of the design process.

    Chairman, Architect, Project Manager, Arbitrator, Adjudicator, Conciliator, Mediator

    In his early career, Tony Reddy gained wide experience with Paul Rudolph (New York) & Roche Dinkeloo & Associates (Hamden, Connecticut), Murray & Murray (Ottawa & Dublin), Stephenson Associates and Hope Cuffe & Associates (Dublin).

    In 1982, he commenced with Maurice Fitzgerald as Fitzgerald Reddy Associates (now Reddy Architecture + Urbanism).

    Through his work as a principal of the firm, he has gained wide recognition as an influential architect and urbanist. His firm’s work embraces the design of furniture, interiors, a wide range of building typologies and urban design.

    His firm’s ability to bring together and lead multi-disciplinary teams appropriate to a budget, coupled with a strong design focus and clear understanding of how people and places interact, has resulted in a wide range of commissions and projects which have contributed to contemporary architecture and the built environment.

    Among his firm’s key projects are the Eircom Building, Temple Bar West End, Custom House Square (IFSC) and Heuston South Quarter.

    He is a former President of the RIAI (2004-2005) and a former Joint Chairman of the Sustainable Housing and Communities Committee. He is also a founding Director of The Academy of Urbanism and The Urban Forum both of which promote the importance of quality urbanism in achieving sustainable towns and cities.

    Tony Reddy was announced as Chairman of the Academy of Urbanism and took on the position on the 1st February 2020. The role which sees him leading the academy for the next 2 years will focus on the development of the AoU as a think tank that can influence the developing Urbanism policies at local, national and international levels.

  • Rob Keane

    B Arch, MRIAI, PSDP

    Managing Director

    A University College Dublin graduate, Rob qualified in 1995 with a Bachelor degree in Architecture. Before qualifying, Rob spent a year with Spielmann Architects in Paris working on infrastructural projects such as the pedestrian bridge at Perigeaux and the Mairie de Santon acoustic wall at Fontaine Bleux.

    After qualifying Rob worked with Fingal County Council in 1995 on fit out projects for the Department of Education and the Department of Finance. In Berlin from 1995 to 1998 Rob worked with Schumeyer Architects on educational and healthcare facilities such as Charlottenberg Jewish School and Extension to the Paediatric Hospital in Wedding.

    With Reddy Architecture + Urbanism since 1998, Rob directs the practice’s master planning and urban design projects and he has been a involved on the masterplans for NUI Galway and for DCU. Rob’s development of the masterplan and delivery of the University College Dublins major plans for over 3000 Student residences as well as the ancillary facilities is key to the practices student housing capabilities.

    Under Rob’s direction, Reddy Architecture + Urbanism won the Dublin City Council PPP project in 2007 for O’Devaney Gardens Regeneration, the Novell Headquarters Competition in 2006 and the NUI Galway Research Bundle in 2008.

    Rob is a qualified Project Supervisor Design Process since 2010.

    Rob is the Group Managing Director and alongside the key roles in the masterplanning team is the director in charge of the Interior design team.

  • Seán Kearns

    B.Arch, MRIAI, PSDP, member of Academy of Urbanism

    Director, Architect

    Seán is Director of the Cork Office of Reddy A+U. He is responsible for projects across a range of sectors that include residential, hospitality, leisure, retail, education, technology, health, office, civic and transport sectors with an emphasis on the private sector.

    Seán has over 28 years of experience in Architecture private practice as a Project Manager on major infrastructural international projects.

    Since graduating from the University of New South Wales in Sydney in 1991, Seán has worked and an extremely wide variety of medium to large scale projects in Ireland, Qatar, Russia and Australia.

    Seán was the Design Architect for Philip Cox +Partners in Sydney after graduation and worked for Murray O’Laoire Architects at Associate Director level in Dublin, Moscow and Cork from 1995 to 2007.  From 2007 to 2012 Seán was a Director of the award winning Magee Creedon Kearns Architects. In 2012 Seán worked as a Design Project Manager for Ramboll in Qatar with responsibility for the design review delivery of the Qatar Foundation Championship Golf Course and the Green Line Metro in Doha.

    Since joining Reddy A+U in 2015, Seán has been leading a number of major developments and masterplans for Cork docklands and third level institutions.

  • Aidan Healy

    Dip Arch Tech, Dip PM, RIAI (Arch Tech), PMP

    Director, Project Manager

    Aidan is a Director based in the Cork office of the practice. He is responsible for projects across a range of sectors and is particularly involved in the healthcare, leisure, retail and residential sectors.

    Before joining Reddy Architecture in 2003, Aidan worked for fifteen years in London at RPW Architects and at Tarmac, completing new-build and refurbishment projects in areas that included the luxury hotel and leisure sectors.

    Aidan heads up the healthcare design team in the practice, and has delivered projects for a number of hospitals in Cork, Dublin and Galway.

    His expertise include successful delivery of numerous key projects including the Cliffs of Moher visitor centre, Co. Clare, Castlemartyr Resort spa and hotel, and Nemo Rangers hurling and football club in Cork.  

  • Lisa Smyth

    BA Hons F.A. & Design, MIDI

    Head of Interiors

    Lisa Smyth is the Head of Interiors at Reddy Architecture + Urbanism. Since graduating in 1996 Lisa has worked as Interior Project Architect in Ireland and internationally on a wide range of projects including Office, Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Student Amenity and Accommodation and Residential Fit Outs.

    Lisa has lead many award winning projects for the practice, most notably in the design of Modern Agile Office Working Environments for Deloitte, Google, Savills and as well as Progressive Healthcare Facilities for Virtue Ireland and The Willis Care Group.

    Prior to joining Reddy Architecture + Urbanism Lisa worked as an Interior Architect for OPW Architects working on a number of large government buildings and institutions. Lisa has also worked and lived in Amsterdam for 2 years designing and project managing the refurbishment and fit out of a number of private high end residential units.

  • David McDowell

    BArch, MArch, M.Sc, RIBA, ARB

    Director, Architect

    David has over 20 years post graduation experience on a wide range of projects in 22 countries around the world as an architect. He has a proven combination of excellence in design together with a track record in the delivery of projects. His project experience ranges from large scale mixed use developments through to public buildings and individual houses. Each has been approached with a rigorous attention to detail resulting in many award winning projects with the companies he has worked with, or awards won in his own right which include an RIBA European Award and a commendation in the AR+d Awards for emerging architects around the world.

    David began his professional career in architecture with Foster and Partners in London working on projects in Europe and the USA. This was followed by a period of time in Hong Kong with HB Design before returning to London to work with Grimshaw and Partners on the masterplanning of Paddington Station and the design of the new Rolls Royce Motor Car assembly facility in Chichester. David returned to Ireland in 2002 firstly as a Director of a Dublin based architectural practice before moving to their London office and subsequently establishing their Abu Dhabi and Kazakhstan offices. David led many of the practices most prestigious projects such as the 5* Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, The Royal Pavilion air terminal in Jordan and the 80 floor Abu Dhabi Plaza Tower in Astana, Kazakhstan. In 2013 David joined the studio of Zaha Hadid in London as Head of Project Delivery before returning to Dublin again in 2016 to join Reddy Architecture + Urbanism as a Director in their Dublin office leading on a number of high end Masterplans including Finngal and Newmarket and is currently designing and delivering over 50,000m of commercial offices between projects at Arkle Road, Burton Hall road and Newmarket.

    David graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a first class honours degree while also winning the City of Edinburgh Medal for Civic Design in the same year. As well as being a UK qualified and registered Architect David has also undertaken a post graduate degree in Construction Management (Project Management) in recognition of the need for architectural leadership on large and complex design projects. David became a registered architect in Ireland in 2019.

  • Mark Kennedy

    MRIAI, BArch (Hons), Dip.Arch (Urbanism), Dip. PM., Dip. Arb., PSDP

    Director, Architect, PSDP

    Mark is a Director leading the Kilkenny office, responsible for projects across a range of sectors that include masterplanning, education, office, residential and retail.

    As a qualified Project Manager, with a Diploma in Architecture & Urbanism and RIAI Conservation Grade III accreditation, Mark has a broad scope of experience and knowledge. Mark has led numerous project types, from the iconic Google Bridge to the design and delivery of significant 2nd and 3rd Level Educational Institutions (UCD Fulcrum, IT Carlow Haughton Building, School Bundle 5). As an Urban Designer, Mark has led the creation of significant Masterplanning Projects in Ireland and the UK and is currently working on the delivery of Masterplans in Cherrywood, Dublin, Bedford in the UK and the Abbey Creative Quarter in his hometown of Kilkenny, with the delivery of the new Brewhouse and Mayfair Buildings.

    Mark is also leading conservation and adaptive reuse projects, including Athy Town Library, and many other significant conservation projects, including The Shackleton Museum, Athy, The Tholsel, Kilkenny, and Cashel Palace redevelopment as a 5 Star Hotel.

    As a qualified Arbitrator, and Mark brings his experience on contract law to the practice, with a strong emphasis on PWC and RIAI contract administration.

  • Kosta Kapetangiannis

    MSc. (Financial Management) B.Arch. B.A.S. N.Dip.Arch. MRIAI, RIBA, ARB

    Director

    Kosta joined Reddy Architecture + Urbanism in 2012, having previously worked in Ireland and South Africa.

    Having qualified in 1997 in South Africa and moved over to Ireland in 2001, he has worked across a variety of sectors and project typologies, to include mixed-use developments, commercial offices, residential developments, hospitality & leisure, masterplanning, third level education, healthcare and animal & academic laboratory buildings.

    His particular expertise lies in the management and delivery of large scale and complex projects, where his strategic overview and overall contribution is valued by clients and colleagues alike.

    Having been involved in all the different project stages, from inception and conceptual design through to project close-out and post-completion evaluations, he is an experienced team leader but has also worked as member of a broad multidisciplinary team.

    Over the last number of years he has led the delivery of major student accommodation projects for both national and international clients and is currently working on a number of large scale residential projects in Dublin which are at different stages of development.

    As a director Kosta contributes to the strategic overview and management of the practice, with particular lead roles in the HR management and structures, Employee Training and QMS procedures.

    Director, Architect

    Rory Murphy is a Director at Reddy Architecture + Urbanism. He was educated in Blackrock College and the School of Architecture in Dublin Institute of Technology graduating in 1988. In his early career he worked with Denys Lasdun in London and Jean Nouvel in Paris before returning to Ireland. Over a 30 year career Rory has worked at the highest level in the construction industry in Ireland, the Middle East and the Caribbean on a wide range of award-winning and prestigious projects in the retail, commercial, residential and hospitality sectors as well as completing numerous private commissions.

    Rory is a fellow of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland since 2016 and is an accredited Conservation Architect (RIAI Grade III). Rory has also been a Studio Lecturer in Architecture at the School of Architecture at DIT Bolton Street, an assessor of the RIAI Travelling Scholarship and is a previous Treasurer of the Architectural Association of Ireland (AAI).

  • Gareth Maguire

    Gareth graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in 1992 with a Masters in Architecture.  He won the Sir Rowan Anderson Silver Medal for Architecture for the best Student portfolio in the Scottish Schools of Architecture for his final thesis portfolio.

    Gareth has worked with a number of  leading international practices including the renowned designers Arup Associates and Michael Wilford Partners in London. He joined one of the largest Architectural led multi-disciplinary practices BDP in their Glasgow studio in 1996, where he designed the RIBA award winning Glasgow Science Centre. He has amassed an in depth commercial knowledge of the multi-disciplinary design process, including the delivery of Ireland’s first BRE Level 2 BIM accredited project for the Technological University, Dublin.

    Gareth has led numerous Architect teams both in Belfast and Dublin over a period of twenty years, on multiple development projects. His experience includes mixed use retail schemes, residential developments, healthcare, offices and workplace, cultural buildings, airport facilities, equine and horse racecourse facilities, stadium design, schools ,university buildings, research and innovation buildings, adaptation of protected structures, and landscape and public realm regeneration projects. He is also a qualified Project Manager, with project experience with both public and private sector clients.

    Gareth has highly specialist sector leading expertise in campus master planning and urban design. During his career he has led major campus masterplans development programmes and reviews for Maynooth University, University College Cork, University of Limerick, NUI Galway and Limerick Institute of Technology.

    Gareth has a strong design led philosophy focused on placemaking , sustainability and people.

    Associate Director - Architect

    Lisa Wynne is an Associate Director at Reddy Architecture + Urbanism. Since graduating from the School of Architecture in 1996 she has worked as a project architect both in Ireland and internationally on a wide range of projects including Commercial, Mixed Use, Retail, Residential, Hospitality, Industrial and Master planning.

    Prior to joining Reddy Architecture + Urbanism Lisa worked as a Senior Architect for NMA Architects leading a wide portfolio of projects with specific emphasis in the retail sector, most recently on the Frascati Shopping Centre in Blackrock.

    Associate, Head of Interior Design

    Sam is an interior designer based in our Cork office with over 20 years of experience in providing interior design services across a broad range of projects. She joined Reddy A+U in 2006 and currently leads the interiors team. She is design-driven, with experience in space planning and ergonomics, a keen eye for detail, ability to source appropriate products and finishes and a particular interest in interior detailing & materials.

    Prior to joining the practice Sam worked with ARA Design Consultants in London for six years, where she was involved in a variety of hospitality projects for commercial and private clients, including major hotel groups such as Hilton & Marriott, private boutique hotels and high-end residential clients.

    Sam has won numerous awards for excellence in interior design, such as IDI Awards for Commercial Interiors for Ernst & Young office fit-out, Cork and The Lee Clinic, Cork.

    Sam studied at the University of North London and is a registered member of the Institute of Designers of Ireland.

    Associate Director

    James is an Associate Director based in the Belfast office. He is leading the development of the office following his appointment in 2019. James has had broad experience of the industry through his career having led a wide range of Residential, Education and Commercial projects, including large scale residential mixed use developments.

    James studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture at the renowned Glasgow School of Art and has worked in the offices of Rafael Vinoly, Aedas/AHR and began his career with Grimshaw and Make Architects in London. He has particular interests in the fields of complex design, BIM/Digital Design and Construction Law. James is a Chartered Architect with the RIBA, RSUA and RIAS, ARB Registered and has obtained a Master’s Degree in Law (LLM).

    Gavin joined Reddy Architecture + Urbanism as an Associate Director in November 2019 with over 30 years post graduate experience working in Ireland, UK, France, and Germany. This experience includes a wide range of building types working as an Architect at all levels up to the position of Project Director. He has strong design skills combined with the project management and technical knowledge required to guide high quality design projects from inception through to completion. Gavin is motivated by the desire to create high quality architecture which both inspires and provides for the functional requirements of the people who use and interact with buildings and their environs.

    Prior to joining Reddy Architecture + Urbanism, Gavin was an Associate Director for over 20 years at NMA Architects in Dublin. He acted as design team lead and liaised with clients on a large number of high quality and award winning projects. These were delivered both the public and private sector and included educational, leisure, sports, residential, retail, courthouses, community, mixed-use commercial, light industrial and master planning.

    Gavin acted as implementation Project Architect and design team lead on the major redevelopment of the Curragh Racecourse and new Grandstand project in collaboration with Grimshaw Architects. Gavin also previously worked with Jourda et Perraudin Architectes in Lyon in France, working on a number of major projects and architectural competitions. This included the ‘Fortbildungsakademie’ (Educational Centre) project in Herne in Germany. This project which developed a number of innovative energy and environmental concepts was the subject for an EU funded energy research programme and was exhibited at the Venice Biennale of Architecture.

  • Tom Phelan

    Architect, Associate, PSDP

    Tom is involved in projects across a range of sectors in the practice and is particularly experienced in healthcare. He is a fundamental part of the group infrastructure and manages the ISO9001 accreditation across the breadth of our offices.

    Tom joined the practice in 1993 and has since been responsible for a wide variety of projects in both new-build and refurbishment. Completed projects include a new wing for Mercy University Hospital in Cork (RIAI Award 1999), manufacturing facilities for Stryker Corporation in Carrigtwohill, a Garda District Headquarters in Cobh, and a special needs school in Cork (RIAI Award 2003). Tom was also Lead Technical Adviser to the HSE/NDFA for a bundle of 14 Primary Care Centres delivered by PPP and brought into service in 2018/19. Tom is accredited as Project Supervisor Design Process.

  • Richard Booth

    Architect, Associate Director

    Richard is an Associate Director & Healthcare specialist based in the Cork Office of Reddy A+U since 2003. With +20 years of experience designing and delivering various clinical healthcare, large-scale commercial & residential buildings both in the UK and Ireland.

    Before joining Reddy A+U, Richard worked in London at the internationally renowned firm of Llewelyn Davies Yeang Architects, recognised then as the brand leader in healthcare, completing PFI healthcare projects and a number of Apart hotel, BAA Data units & innovative overseas schemes.

    Since joining Reddy A+U Richard has delivered a number of key hospital projects for the CUH & MUH in Cork. He was a key team member on the design of the ‘Award winning’ Cherry Orchard Child & Adolescent Mental Health facility in Dublin, recognised as one of the first physical manifestations of the Irish Health Service’s new ‘Vision for Change’ Mental Health programme.

    Richard’s ability is to simplify the most complex of problems with the simplest of solutions, using excellent listening and communication tools to deliver the project on time and on budget. Richard has a special interest in the technology used to design and deliver hospital buildings, which he gained over the intense and highly competitive Irish economic down turn era.

    At present Richard’s main drive is to design exceptional, special spaces that assist the ever changing world of clinical delivery, in a safe, non-institutional environment for patients and their families.

    Mike has worked on high quality design projects both in Ireland and abroad and has a varied portfolio of projects over 22 years working as an architect. Mike has won numerous architectural awards for consistently high quality design for these projects such as Opus Building of the Year, RIAI Regional awards and Building and Design awards. During these years Mike has led teams and acted as lead co-ordinator of multi-disciplinary teams on numerous complex projects through all stages of design to completion under traditional, design and build and PPP contracts.

    Since joining Reddy Architecture in 2015 Mike has lead teams on projects of ranging scale and complexity with the focus on commercial, residential and Residential Care facilities for the aged. Prior to this Mike worked in Gilroy McMahon as an associate partner for over 11 years and at Mullarkey Pedersen Grade 1 Conservation architects. At GMcM Mike built a wide range of commercial projects and has extensive design experience for the workplace and complex urban sites and was part of the team that won two RIAI Gold Medals.

    Michael graduated from University College Dublin with an honours degree and as well as being a RIAI registered Architect since 2001 Michael has also post-graduate Diplomas in Project Management, Marketing and Design Innovation from DCU.

    Architectural Technologist

    Michael Connolly joined Reddy A+U in 2012 as lead Architectural Technologist working on large mixed-use developments in Ireland and the UK. Michael’s strengths lie in his management of multidisciplinary teams and the production of tender and construction information.

    Having studied both in Waterford Institute of Technology and in Denmark, Michael started his career as a BIM specialist in Chisholm Byrne Architects and has more than eight years experience of BIM utilisation. He is a fundamental part of our BIM strategy and his in-depth knowledge of the subject makes him a valued team member. He has also graduated with an Honours Master’s Degree in Applied BIM management with an in-depth knowledge of data input and management across a broad network of multidisciplinary professions. Michael was previously a highly qualified Carpenter with many years site experience which has brought another skillset to help Reddy A+U.

    Michael has been continuously involved in the production of planning, tender and construction information through the years and has an exceptional portfolio of projects in residential, commercial and educational sectors. He has extensive experience in the role of Architectural Technologist and is fully aware of this role and its responsibilities both to the Contractor and Client.

    Working closely with Des O’Donnell, the group’s Technical Director, Michael has completed exemplar high-end residential developments such as Embassy Gardens in London. This development features the world first sky pool, creating a link at level ten between two twenty-three storey residential buildings. Michael has had a key role in coordinated design and detailing for both the pool and the buildings.

    Alan has worked internationally and within Ireland, as a project architect on a number of prestigious projects, including Commercial Office Development, Mixed Use, Retail, Residential, Healthcare, Second and Third Level Education, Hospitality, industrial, Master planning, and Industrial. Having worked at senior management level over the last 11 years, he brings a wide ranging expertise and proven value to the projects he has been involved with.

    Since joining the practice in 2013, Alan has been a key member in the delivery of a number of projects including Emerald Housing Scheme, St Finians School Extension and the National Primary Care Centre – PPP projects.

  • Barry Hennessy

    BSc (Hons) Arch Tech

    Associate Director, Architectural Technician

    Barry is a Senior Architectural Technologist who joined Reddy A+U in 2011 having previously worked with several different practices in Dublin. He has a wide range of experience in retail, office fit-out, schools and residential developments in Ireland including student housing.

    Barry’s area of expertise lies in the technical coordination and efficient delivery of projects from inception through to on-site completion, including site inspection reporting for the BC(A)R process. Barry particularly enjoys devising bespoke solutions to challenging design briefs on a daily basis.

    Barry is a key member of staff who has been involved in numerous high-end projects including office fit-outs at Deloitte HQ, Savills HQ and Gordon House at Google’s EMEA headquarters in Dublin. More recently Barry has been involved in the on-site coordination and delivery of several large-scale design and build student accommodation projects in Dublin city centre. These include Mill Street Student Accommodation in Dublin’s Liberties.

    Associate Director, Technologist

    John is primarily responsible for the delivery of public sector projects including Healthcare, Education, Civic, Office and Housing. He has been at the forefront in leadership of our healthcare division where he has led numerous successful public hospital projects, including the delivery of rapid-build hospitals in response to the Covid-19 crisis.

    John joined the practice as a graduate in 1999, graduating with distinction and the college award for Portfolio Of The Year. Since then, he has been a stalwart of the office and progressed through the ranks, continually developing his level of knowledge to keep up with the latest developments in regulations, contract administration and good practice. This knowledge informs both the projects he is responsible for and those of the practice in general.

    High profile completed projects include a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the National Maternity Hospital, a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Facility for Cherry Orchard Hospital (Healthcare Building Project of the year 2013) and the multiple award-winning Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, Co. Clare.

    John has a particular expertise in design coordination and contract administration of projects, including their delivery through detail design, tender and construction. As a wheelchair-user, John brings a particular knowledge and awareness to accessible design.

    Nina joined Reddy Architecture + Urbanism in December 2015 having previously worked with a large international multidisciplinary practice in Ireland.

    Having graduated from the University of Sarajevo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Urbanism, Nina moved to Ireland in 1993 to work as an architect on a number of industrial, pharmaceutical and mixed-use projects. She has been involved in projects at all stages of design development, from inception through construction to completion. Nina has considerable experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

    She has extensive experience in construction phases of various developments and building legislation.

    Since joining Reddy Architecture + Urbanism Nina has acted as a single point of contact for co-ordination of the design, inspection and certification of a building project from the design stage (pre-commencement), until completion in the role of Assigned Certifier.

    She is currently involved as Assigned Certifier on various projects in Dublin which are at different stages of developments.

    Eamon has worked on high quality design projects both in Ireland and abroad and has a varied portfolio of projects over 12 years working as an architect. During these years Eamon has worked through all project stages and delivered projects under PPP, GCCC, and traditional RIAI forms of contract.

    Eamon joined Reddy A+U in 2004, he then emigrated to Australia where he worked as an architect for Michael Bell Architects and NBRS Partners. The projects included high level commercial, boutique residential and education buildings.

    Returning to Reddy A+U in 2015 Eamon has delivered projects ranging in scale and complexity with attention on commercial, residential and educational sector.

    Eamon enjoys travelling, exploring new cities, experiencing different cultures and how they embrace their built environment. He believes that architecture is a social art that creates the built environment that we live in. His passion in architecture allows him deliver projects by managing them from inception through to construction

    Pádraig is an Associate Director, and in-house specialist in Health & Safety in Construction, in the Cork office of Reddy A+U. He has over 40 years experience in the industry, including 15 years of experience providing PSDP (Project Supervisor Design Process) services on behalf of the practice.

    Since qualifying in Ireland in 1982, Pádraig has gained valuable experience across a wide range of sectors in South Africa, the UK and Ireland. Since joining the practice as Senior Architectural Technician in 1995, Pádraig has successfully delivered a number of large-scale projects, with particular emphasis on the healthcare and industrial sectors, including the Boston Scientific Manufacturing facility in Cork and the award-winning Cork University Maternity Hospital.

    Following the introduction of the Safety Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations in 2006, Pádraig gained the qualifications and competency required for the role of PSDP and has since led a team of Health and Safety professionals within the practice, specialising in providing the services of PSDP to both public and private clients.

    Pádraig has successfully delivered our PSDP service on a wide range of projects that include Healthcare, Educational, Industrial, Leisure, Residential, Commercial, varying from new build, to extensions and refurbishment within existing live buildings, to demolitions and conservation works.

    John has worked on high quality design projects both in Ireland and abroad and has a varied portfolio of projects over 15 years in both national and international architectural practice.

    John joined Reddy Architecture in 2016 after returning from Sydney Australia, where he worked for a number of years most notably with leading design firm Candalepas Associates, specialising in the delivery of high end multi residential buildings and high-end harbour front single residential properties.  John is currently working on the design and development of large scale and complex high-density residential projects and has gained significant experience in commercial, hospitality and high-end private sector projects.

    John is fascinated by the complex operation of cities and urban form and the challenges in successfully integrating innovative, sustainable, high-quality residential architecture to coexist and contribute to the society and environment we inhabit.

    Niall joined as a Project Architect and was promoted to be an Associate after leading a number of successful projects for Reddy A+U since 2011. He was promoted to Associate Director in 2021 following his commitment to the firm as well as the leadership and attention to detail.

    Niall has been the main point of contact for clients such as Boston Scientific, Eli Lilly, Open Text, EY and others. He is experienced in collaborating with practices such as HOK in the UK and Canada on projects with an international dimension. Currently Niall is working on the Cork Airport HBS upgrade, office development at Cork Airport Business Park, The Prism 15 storey office block, Cashel Palace Hotel, Leisureplex Hotel, and the delivery of numerous Primary Care Centres & Social Housing projects throughout the country.

    Prior to joining Reddy A+U, Niall worked with Jack Coughlan Associates and Project Architects and led the construction phase of projects such as the Opera Lane development in Cork city. With Jack Coughlan Associates, he was responsible for the Lifetime Lab project which was winner of the RIAI award 2006 for best conservation project.

    He has experience in the delivery of high-end complex and challenging public and private sectors projects and acts as the Design and Assigned Certifier on numerous projects throughout the practice. Niall also qualified as a Certified Passive House Designer in 2019.

    Ross is a Senior Architectural Technologist with a varied range of project experience gained since graduating from Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street in 2002.

    Since joining the Dublin office in 2015 Ross has advanced through progressively more responsible positions bringing his technical experience and job running skills to several office, financial and student accommodation projects. Ross is Team Lead on the University College Dublin Phase 1 Student Residences Master Plan, the first Strategic Housing Development to receive planning consent from An Bord Pleanála.

    Ross worked with Project Architects in Dublin for 13 years prior to joining Reddy A+U. During his time at Project Architects he was involved in high-profile projects for the University of Limerick including the Sports Pavilion Building, Irish Chamber Orchestra Rehearsal Hall and Cappavilla Student Accommodation.

    Since joining Reddy A+U Ross has worked on Munster Rugby High Performance Centre through detail design, tender and construction stages and projects for high-profile clients in the financial sector.

    Architect, Associate Director

    Paul is an Associate Director based in the Cork Office of Reddy A+U having joined in 2015. With over 20 years’ experience in the design and delivery of a wide range of projects, Paul’s specific emphasis has been in the private residential and retail sectors, with more recent expertise in Education at the University of Limerick.

    He managed the Cork office of Project Architects for 10 years where he successfully delivered the award winning mixed use Opera Lane Scheme. This included the first new pedestrianised street in Cork in over 200 years, linking the retail and cultural quarters of the city.

    Paul originally studied at the University of Greenwich and subsequently went on to qualify in Interior Design. Recently accredited as a RIAI Grade 3 Conservation Architect, he has undertaken a number of historic building conservation and design projects, including proposals for Castlemartyr Resort and Cashel Palace Hotel. Paul has worked as an Assigned Certifier for projects since the new regulations came into force in 2014.

    He is design-driven with a particular interest in urban design, place-making and conservation, alongside his main responsibilities to manage overall projects from feasibility to completion stage.
