The Challenge

To design and deliver a new 3-storey educational building on the existing campus. The university required a multifunctional building which could accommodate laboratories, classrooms, workshops, and lecture theatres.

The Story

A new executive management hub was also provided which comprised of a board room, office suites for heads of the institute and associated support accommodation.

The Outcome

When approached from Kilkenny Road, the development forms a gateway for the entire campus. Focused around a large atrium, the building can accommodate performance, study and provides a dynamic event space for the institute as a whole. Existing external spaces were reimagined as multi-use outdoor seating areas where students could sit, study and socialise.
