- Client Killeen Group
- Project Workplace Fit-Out
- Scale 12,318 sqm
- Project LeadLisa Smyth
The Story
Designed to reconnect with nature in an urban setting, the project seamlessly merges the building's interior and exterior into a cohesive, holistic design.
The Challenge
Inspired by Glencar waterfall, the atrium features twisting anodised bronze, with metal fins cascading like fluid sheets. These fins create a visual epicentre that enhances the “waterfall” effect. The anodised bronze finish, typically used for facades, was chosen for its reflective and dynamic properties.
Material selection was refined to include Techrite, concrete, bronze, Connemara marble, blackened ash, and mirror, carefully utilised to evoke vertical cascades and waterfall-inspired motifs throughout the structure.
The Outcome
Through the innovative use of materials and thoughtful design elements, the building not only celebrates Ireland's natural heritage but also creates a vibrant and functional workspace.
